Background & Experience

Vessel Manager; Day-to-day management of vessel fleet(s) with overall responsibility for all aspects of operation including; technical support, cost control, Client/Charterer interface, crewing, Dry Docks, Contractors and Class.

Technical Superintendent, vessel support, dockings, project management, troubleshooting, off/on-hire, modification of vessels to meet charterer’s requirements. Liaising between ships’ crew, company, clients, contractors and various shore support organisations, port authorities, dockyards, insurance and class.

Technical support in line with Aramco requirements, including On Hire Inspections, audit process, quality assurance, recruitment and evaluation of senior officers and vessel breakdown verifications.

Surveys, on hire, vessel pre-purchase/sales inspections on behalf of Owners, technical assessments and casualty investigation.

Administration, management and supervision in compliance with relevant legislation, class requirements and the company’s SMS. Interacting with authorities, customers, charterers, agents and suppliers.

Planned Maintenance System administration, including AMOS, TM Master, NSE and RXMD. Computer literate with excellent IT skills.

Development and improvement of procedures, to ensure the safe, correct running, operation and maintenance of all types of propulsion equipment, auxiliary machinery and support systems on-board.

Extensive experience with diesel, diesel-electric and modern high voltage hybrid propulsion systems.

DP Maintenance for systems including Rolls Royce, Kongsberg, Nautronix, Alstom and Converteam.

Authoring, amending and conducting project specific assurance and industry standard audits, such as IMCAs CMID, OCIMFs, OVID and FMEA/DP Annual trials.

New builds, yard supervision, planned and emergency dry-docks, commissioning and decommissioning of units, vessels & vessel systems, during construction and delivery; including new-build ‘acceptances’ for Maersk, Hartmann Offshore, UOS, RVOS and EMAS Marine.

Maiden voyages, 1st trip shakedowns, conduction of yard trials, sea trials and testing of all machinery and systems’ operation in accordance with requirements and implementation of DP and FMEA procedures

Operation and maintenance of both electric and hydraulic anchor handling winch configurations and offshore cranes, including heavy lift cranes & subsea equipment from various manufacturers.

Participant in the planning and execution of a wide range of offshore operations including all types of rig moves, pre-lays, tanker mooring, FPSO installations, SBM installations, ROV work, riser pull-ins, funnel installation, torpedo anchors, heavy lift vessel platform load/unloading, cable/ pipe laying, dive support and cargo work
